The well‐known He's variational iteration method has been implemented by researchers for solving various kinds of problems. Although it is a very efficient method for solving problems, the approximation is not accurate in large regions. In this work a new technique based on the successive use of the He's variational iteration method in smaller regions has been presented. The new method has been named as local He's variational iteration method. By applying the new technique, an accurate approximation provided in large domains in a shorter time and less computations.
