Confocal laser scanning microscope image of double‐labeling immunohistochemistry for SNAP‐25 (green) and v‐GAT (magenta) in the rat somatosensory cortex. SNAP‐25 immunoreactivity was undetectable in inhibitory terminals identified by v‐GAT antibody both scattered in the neuropil and clustered around unlabeled neurons. Golgi‐like SNAP‐25 immunoreactivity was rarely seen in unlabeled large pyramidal neurons. J. Comp. Neurol. 506:373–386, 2008. © 2007 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
