These 7 articles from high‐quality Chinese academic medical centers focused on breast cancer present evidence of the growing expertise in this area in the most populous nation in the world. In addition to articles on risk stratification and prognosis at various stages of breast cancer, of particular interest is a study of high‐resolution full‐field optical coherence tomography and dynamic cell imaging for rapid intraoperative diagnosis during breast cancer surgery. This study demonstrates that these timely and tissue‐sparing optical imaging techniques are highly accurate in diagnosing breast cancer and nodal metastasis and compare favorably with routine histologic sections, but it is important to supplement the data in a future cohort involving breast‐conserving surgery.
