Adjuvant endocrine therapy for breast cancer can reduce recurrence rates and improve overall survival, but many patients have poor adherence. Patients whose medication refills are better synchronized—filling medications with fewer pharmacy visits—have better adherence. Synchronization may be an effective tool to improve adherence to endocrine therapy in patients with breast cancer and possibly improve cancer outcomes.
