Approximately 1 in 10 Hispanic women with breast cancer carry a mutation in a cancer susceptibility gene; approximately one half of these mutations are in genes other than BRCA1 and BRCA2 . Genetic testing for Hispanic patients with breast cancer should be extended to include PALB2 .
