Even when socioeconomic variables are optimally controlled for, outcomes for black women with breast cancer were still worse than outcomes for white women in this single‐institution study. This highlights the aggressive disease biology present in many black women with breast cancer and serves as a call to action to work harder to discover new and better treatments for this population.
