Growing evidence supports the importance of timely care for muscle‐invasive bladder cancer, with multiple studies demonstrating that delays longer than 3 months are associated with worse outcomes. Causes for treatment delays are multifactorial and may be compounded by increasing regionalization; contemporary efforts to minimize delays must address cross‐team communication, care transitions, patient empowerment, socioeconomic differences, and access disparities.
