In this issue, Ording et al use the Danish Cancer Registry to examine the interaction between prostate cancer, comorbidity, and the risk of venous thromboembolism. Their findings suggest that severe comorbidity and prostate cancer interact to synergistically increase the risk of venous thromboembolism, although their small sample and other limitations demand caution in interpreting the findings.
