The back cover picture shows the satiety hormone pancreatic polypeptide binding to a comparative model of human Y 4 receptor. At the highlighted positions, diverse saturated fatty acids were systematically introduced via peptide synthesis on solid support. The most promising analogue, containing a propanoyl moiety, exhibited improved receptor selectivity and stability in blood plasma and liver homogenates, thus representing a suitable drug candidate for antiobesity therapy.
