Unique character: Compound 1 was modified through a knowledge‐based design approach to obtain excellent selectivity toward phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase (PI3K). This is a useful strategy for enhancing selectivity for PI3K, given access of the inhibitors to a binding pocket unique to this particular kinase.
