Enemy of the (pro)state! The androgen receptor (AR) is closely involved in the formation and growth of prostate cancer. Currently, targeting the AR is a hot research area in the design and development of drugs against prostate cancer. Herein, nonsteroidal antiandrogen agents that target the AR are reviewed.
