Immunosuppressive agents : Twenty‐four acylamide derivatives, all with a 1,4‐benzodioxan template, were synthesized and screened for immunosuppressive activity. Compound 4 c (shown) exhibited significant inhibition of concanavalin A (ConA) induced T cell proliferation (IC 50 =0.42 μmol L −1 ) comparable to that of the reference compound cyclosporin A, and represents a promising lead for the development of novel therapeutic agents.
