Ambient Precursor Gaseous Pollutants and Meteorological Conditions Controlling Variations of Particulate Matter Concentrations Yi‐Ming Kuo, Enmin Zhao, Min‐Jing Li, Hui Yu and Jun Qin Clean – Soil, Air, Water 2017, 45 (8), 1600655 DOI: 10.1002/clen.201600655 PM 2.5 concentrations are higher than the WHO‐recommended level in Wuhan. The results of dynamic factor analysis show that the temporal dynamics of PM 2.5 in Wuhan are primarily associated with CO, NO 2 , SO 2 , relative humidity, temperature, and wind speed. The emitted sources of precursor gaseous pollutants should be restricted or controlled in the early stage to avoid further transforming to particulate matters.
