Summary: A narrow vascular pedicle on the thoracic roentgenogram is an important sign in the clinical diagnosis of complete transposition of the great arteries (Shaher, 1973a). Rarely a wide vascular pedicle is present in this condition, mainly due to associated lesions. The differential diagnosis in these cases is discussed, based on our experience with 14 cases.
