The inside cover picture shows that in situ electrochemical atomic force microscopy is performed to clarify the correlation between the decomposition behavior of toroidal lithium peroxide (Li 2 O 2 ) and the charging rate in a working Li‐O 2 battery. In situ observation reveals that a low charge rate promotes the decomposition of toroidal Li 2 O 2 sufficiently, while a larger charge rate accelerates the decomposition occurring at the Li 2 O 2 /electrode interface, causing the irreversible capacity degradation.
