CrCl 3 ·6H 2 O/hydrogenated bis‐Schiff base is found to be an effective catalyst system for synthesis of bis(indoly) methane via electrophilic addition reaction of indoles with aldehydes using acetonitrile as the solvent. The yields of isolated products are from good to excellent.
