The first enantioselective synthesis of a naturally occurring 4′‐hydroxy‐7‐methoxyflavane was developed by an asymmetric reduction and a microwave‐assistant aromatic C–O bond formation to construct the benzopyran skeleton. Key features of this method include its brevity, its preserved stereochemical integrity and two different synthetic routes to choose.
