By oxidative coupling polymerization a novel electroactive poly(ether sulfone), with fixed conjugated length of oligoaniline (phenyl‐capped aniline tetramer) in the main chain, was successfully synthesized. The structure of the electroactive poly(ether sulfone) was confirmed by FTIR, NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical activity of the poly(ether sulfone) was tested in 1.0 mol·L −1 H 2 SO 4 aqueous solution which shows two redox peaks. Moreover, the thermal properties of the poly(ether sulfone) were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Its electrical conductivity is about 1.37×10 −7 S·cm −1 at room temperature upon preliminarily protonic‐doped experiment.
