A series of RuCl 2 (bipyridyldiphosphine)(1,2‐diamine) complexes were synthesized and applied to the asymmetric hydrogenation of aromatic ketones. Solvent effect and a wide variety of aromatic ketones were explored and up to 96% enantioselectivity was achieved in the hydrogenation of o ‐bromoacetophenone.
