A simple method for the synthesis of 3‐aryl‐1,5‐bis(2‐hydroxyaryl)pentane‐1,5‐diones is developed by one‐pot reaction involving 2‐hydroxyacetophenone and arylaldehyde in aqueous potassium hydroxide.
