Abstract A 4′‐chlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride‐pyrrolecarboxamide hybrid compound was synthesized and its DNA cleaving activity was investigated using a pBluescript SK DNA under UV irradiation. This compound showed potent DNA cleaving activity.
