Consecutive Reaction of Bis [2, 2, 2‐trifluoroethyl] phosphite. One‐pot Synthesis of Substituted 3‐Cyano‐β, γ‐unsaturated Nitriles with Exclusive or Predominant E‐ Selectivity

The consecutive reaction of bis [2, 2, 2‐trifluoroethyl] phosphite and its application to the one‐pot synthesis of 3‐cyano‐β, γ‐unsaturated nitriles with exclusive or predominant E ‐selectivity ( E:Z = 100–85:0—IS) and excellent yields (94%—99%) are described.
