Synthesis of cobalt oxide (Co 3 O 4 ) nanorods was achieved by templating against carbon nanotubes via wet chemical technique. The products with crystalline structure were mainly composed of Co 3 O 4 nanorods with diameters in the range of ca . 75–100 nm and lengths in the range of 0.12–1 μm, and were characterized by XRD, TEM, SAED and HRTEM.
