A new macrocyclic compound has been synthesized by condensation of pyridine‐l‐oxide‐2, 6‐dialdehyde with diethylenetriamine. The self‐assembly behaviours were studied by X‐ray diffraction. The results show that the self‐assembly were controlled by intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π‐π stacking effects.
