The parameters of ligand field of laser crystal Na 3+ : KY(WO 4 ) 2 and Nd 3+ : KGd(WO 4 ) 2 are obtained by a scheme which involved intermediate coupling and ligand field interaction. The calculated Stark‐levels are in good agreement with the experimental values.
