Twenty‐six derivatives of tris[(phenyldimethylsilyl)methylene]tin carboxylates have been prepared. All compounds are new and characterized through elemental analysis IR spectra, and 1 H, 13 C, 110 Sn NMR spectral studies. The spectral results showed that all compounds are four coordinated organotin compounds. The Δ v (=υ   OO asymp −υ   CO symp ) of them are over 300 cm −1 . The chemical shifts (δ) of 119 Sn of ArCO 2 Sn(CH 2 SiMe 2 Ph) 3 and ArOCH 2 CO 2 Sn(CH 2 SiMe 2 Ph) 3 give good straight‐line correlation with para ‐substituent constants. These compounds have good acaricide activity, but their action on the mite are slower than that of Torque.
