The synthesis of polyfluoroalkoxyl substituted tetrakisphenylporphyrin is reported. The reaction is carrying out using Lewis acid BF 3 ·OEt 2 as catalyst and p ‐chloranil as oxidant. The yields of the porphyrins are about 30–40%.
