This paper presents nine novel pyrethroids containing phosphorous and five new phosphorous ylids. A new synthetic route of β‐substituted vinyl (thio) phosphonate having E configuration have been developed. The compound 1i exhibited moderate insecticidal activities against Culex mosquitoes and Army worm.
