The reaction of sodium or silver perfluoroalkanesulfinate with nitric acid, nitrous acid or nitrogen dioxide in aqueuos solution gave a moderate yield of N, N ‐bisperfluoroalkylhydroxylamine accompanied by perfluorocarboxylic acid, amide and nitrosoperfluoroalkane.
