The kinetics of the isomerization of (μ‐PhCH 2 S) (μ‐RS)Fe 2 (CO) 6 (RMe, Et) and (μ‐PhCH 2 S) (μ‐ t ‐BuS)Fe 2 (CO) 6 has been studied by conventional and dynamic NMR methods respectively. A possible mechanism for the reaction has been proposed and the factors which influence the reaction rate have been discussed.
