A new type of organosilicon reactive intermediate, α‐furylphenylsilylene was generated from 2‐(α‐furyl)‐2‐phenylhexamethyltrisilane. When α‐furylphenylsilylene reacted with 2,3‐dimethyl‐1,3‐butadiene, the corresponding addition and insertion products were obtained. The intermediate silirane derivative from the reaction of α‐furylphenylsilylene with cyclohexene was ring‐opened by methanol to give α‐furylphenyl cyclohexylmethoxylsilane.
