An open metallocene compound, [2,4‐(CH 3 ) 2 C 5 H 5 ] 2 VCO has been synthesized and characterized by a low temperature (‐60°C) X‐ray diffraction technique. The compound crystallizes in an orthorhombic space group P 2 1 2 1 2 1 with lattice parameters a =9.921(6), b =9.899(6), c =14.491(8) Å, Z =4. The structure was refined by the block‐matrix least‐squares the final R =0.087
