Hydrogen production by partial oxidation and steam reforming (POSR) of n‐octane was investigated over alumina‐supported Ni and Ni‐Pd catalysts. It showed that Ni‐Pd/Al 2 O 3 had higher activity and hydrogen selectivity than the nickel catalyst under the experimental conditions, which indicated Ni‐Pd/Al 2 O 3 could be an effective catalyst for the production of hydrogen from hydrocarbons.
