A flexible computational model for the initiation of crevice corrosion has been developed. Based upon a mechanistic theory, empiricisms do not limit the scope of this work. The model is formulated in a previous paper and this sequel publication showcases the performance of the algorithm. Designed for widespread applicability, passive crevice corrosion of metals may be modelled in suitable electrolytes. The initiation of crevice corrosion has been simulated for several passive metals. Reaffirming past observations, higher temperatures are predicted detrimental to the passivity of metals. The predictions are compared with the experimental work of others and excellent agreement is seen between the simulated chemical composition of the crevice solution and experimental reality.
