The solubility of sulphur dioxide in mixed polyethylene glycol dimethyl ethers was determined at 25°C, 40°C, 70°C and 100°C. The results were best correlated with the NRTL activity coefficient model. Henry's law constants were obtained from the data and the excess enthalpy of the liquid mixture over the full range of composition was predicted at each temperature. In addition, the enthalpy of mixing and the enthalpy of solution were both determined at infinite dilution. The effect of water on the solubility of sulphur dioxide was also investigated with a 6.04 mass% water solution.
