Solubility experiments undertaken between 18°C and 24°C showed that solubility of SO 3 in either acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) is very small. On the other hand, with these solvents sulfuric acid is fully miscible up to a volume ratio of 30:200 acid:solvent.
