The solubility of ethane in N ‐methylpyrrolidinone (NMP) has been measured at −10, 25, 40, 50, 70, 75, 100, and 120°C at pressures up to 7.1 MPa. The solubility data obtained are compared with those of ethane in other physical solvents. The results were correlated with the Peng‐Robinson (1976) equation of state and the interaction parameters were obtained. Henry's constants were also determined.
