The technique of sandwich holography is proposed for the study of diffusion in transparent liquid mixtures. The diffusion coefficient may be measured simply and directly from the interferogram obtained by shearing a sandwich hologram during reconstruction. Some preliminary results for the KCI‐water system are presented.
