Isobaric vapor‐liquid equilibrium measurements on binary mixtures of m ‐ and p ‐xylenes with carbon tetrachloride were taken at P = 40, 66.67 and 98.67 kPa. The Wilson expression was used to correlate the experimental data. Only a weak deviation of the liquid phase from ideality is found. Activity coefficients of m ‐ and p ‐xylenes in carbon tetrachloride show negligible differences.
