Solid hold‐up in bubble columns with suspended solid particles was studied experimentally under continuous slurry feed for the system, air–water–glass beads, in two columns of 55 mm and 95 mm in diameter. Experimental results agree well with the prediction made on the basis of the one‐dimensional dispersion model.
