Statistical thermodynamics theory, based on the cell/hole model, provides an excellent description of liquid properties in the full range of reduced variables \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ \tilde P.\tilde T.\tilde V $\end{document} . In addition, the theory provides the occupied site fraction y as a function of these reduced variables. This paper examines the relation between the temperature and pressure dependent liquid viscosity and the parameter y. Properties of n ‐paraffins are discussed.
