The activity of Vanadium pentoxide supported on silicagel for the photocatalytic oxidation of cyclohexane has been studied. It was found that this catalyst presents a stable activity after an or decrease depending on the surface concentration of VOshrd initial unsteady state period during which the activity might increase or decrease depending on the surface concentration of V 2 O 5 . An interpretation is proposed for the two phenomena affecting the activity during the unsteady state period.
