The available literature data for the drop diameter, hold‐up and backmixing coefficients were tested experimentally in a pilot plant size spray column. For all these parameters correlations were found which gave results in agreement with the experimental data so that reasonable prediction is possible. Different equations were compared and the ones giving the best fit are recommended.
