Overall slurry and trickle‐bed reactor effectiveness with respect to mass transport limitation upon linear kinetics is readily assessed by utilization of estimated parameters and data secured in a single experiment. A judicious estimate of certain other physical parameters permits an estimate of the intrinsic chemical reaction rate coefficient. The procedure is illustrated with literature data.
