An electronic controller is described which permits the automatic sequential mixing of two solutions. A small aliquot of each of the solutions produced is injected in turn into an electronic density meter displacing the previous solution and a digital recording is made of temperature and density. Results of a partial molal volume study of aqueous NaCl solutions at 25°C are presented (v_° = 16.621 cm 3 mol ‐1 , S* v = 1.848 cm 3 1 1/2 mol 3/2 , and b v = .0.138 cm 3 1 mol 12 ).
