Enthalpies of two polar compounds: n‐pentanol and n‐hexanol have been measured by a flow calorimeter at temperatures between 300°F and 650°F and pressures up to 1,500 psia. The measurements covered the liquid, vapor, vapor‐liquid and critical regions. The experimental results were compared with values calculated by three methods for prediction of variation of enthalpy with pressure.
