The parameters of the Stockmayer potential function were calculated by a least‐squares analysis of the second virial coefficient data for 66 polar substances. By using these parameters, the second virial coefficient of these tabulated materials can be calculated with a mean standard deviation of 20.2 cm 3 mole −1 or 3.2%. The possibility of extrapolating second virial coefficients from high to low temperatures is also demonstrated.
