Stereophotogrammetry was used for the first time to measure the local particle velocity vector and its turbulent components in two‐phase solid‐gas flow in a 10 cm. I.D. vertical pipe. From the image counts on the stereophotographs, it has also been demonstrated that the stereophotogrammetry could be used for the direct determination of the radial concentration distribution of the particles in the pipe.
