A reduced state correlation for the coefficient of thermal expansion of water has been developed from PVT data available in the literature for the substance. The coefficient of thermal expansion was expressed in terms of reduced variables and a reduced state density correlation was developed for water. This density correlation was then utilized to develop plots of the dimensionless variable, β T c , against T R and P a for reduced temperatures up to T R = 3.0 and reduced pressures up to P R = 20.
