Difficult air pollution problems caused by the emission of submicron mists have been solved with fibre mist eliminators. This new equipment is the result of extensive research and development at Monsanto. This paper describes some air pollution problems which have been solved successfully with fibre mist eliminators and suggests some new problems which should be solved in the future.
